Our Story

The entrepreneurial spirit has been part of the Hayden family for almost a century, dating back to Cliff Hayden, the owner of Hub Oil in Rochelle, starting in 1954. Hub Oil was a farm service business that included the sale of chemicals and tires and the operation of multiple gas stations. 

Cliff never strayed from the roots of his agricultural background, buying and owning farmland that is still in the family today. 

In 1972, what started as an appraisal business by Spencer and Karen Hayden evolved over the past 50 years into a real estate brokerage and residential development firm serving Northern Illinois.

Now owned and operated by Tim and Geri Hayden, Hayden Real Estate has continued the legacy of residential development and further expanded their business into self storage, commercial development and construction, and the Bennys Gas Stations.
